Astar is a clone of Edgeware and can be stopped by its team if they choose to do so. On the other hand, Edgeware is the oldest substrate mainnet that achieved a fair distribution through the industry's first Lockdrop to Ethereum holders. It is a self-sustainable, decentralized ecosystem that is owned by the community, not just run by it.
