Was there an ICO for Edgeware?

I am interested in investing in Edgeware and I am wondering if there was an initial coin offering (ICO) for this project. I have searched online but could not find any information about it. Can someone please confirm if there was an ICO for Edgeware or if the tokens were distributed in a different way? Thank you.

No, Edgeware did not have an initial coin offering (ICO) or receive any venture capital (VC) funding. Instead, the project was bootstrapped without any token sale. The Edgeware Lockdrop was open to everyone, allowing the community to participate and consider themselves as the backers.
