Where does the money from the treasury come from?

I am trying to understand the source of funds for the treasury. Can someone explain where the money comes from? Is it from taxes, borrowing, or other sources? Thank you.

The treasury issues a digital asset called EDG. The recipient can choose to sell it on an exchange to convert it into their preferred currency or hold onto it.
