A nominator can publish a list of validator candidates they trust and stake EDG to support them. If these candidates become validators, the nominator shares in the payments or sanctions on a per-staked-EDG basis. Unlike validators, there is no limit to the number of parties that can participate as nominators. As long as a nominator carefully chooses trustworthy validator candidates with good security practices, their role carries low risk and provides a steady source of income.
